Support for Reproductive Healthcare
Reproductive healthcare services, including abortion care, is covered by Nutanix U.S. medical and pharmacy plans. We will continue to provide equitable access to safe and private reproductive healthcare services for our employees and their covered family members.
UHC
In addition to medical care covered under the plan, our UnitedHealthcare (UHC) Choice Plus and HDHP plans cover domestic travel and lodging when it’s necessary for conditions requiring in-patient treatment. The plan is extending to include costs associated with abortion care when interstate travel is required. Kaiser
Our Kaiser California plan includes in-network abortion care coverage in California, and we don’t foresee any changes needed. You can review your coverage by visiting kp.org or by calling the number on the back of your member card.
Carrot
Our partner in fertility, family-forming, and reproductive support, Carrot Family Benefits now extends to interstate, domestic travel related to non-viable pregnancies or abortion for the member and an associated companion when otherwise not covered under the medical plan. Expenses reimbursed will apply towards the $15,000 lifetime maximum and is a taxable benefit.

Q: Can I use the benefit for relocation/moving?
A: No.
Q: Can I use this benefit to pay for healthcare services such as the termination of a non-viable pregnancy?
A: No. You may only use this benefit for eligible interstate travel required for reproductive care for yourself or your covered spouse/domestic partner. Healthcare services are covered under your medical plan.
Q: When will this coverage be live?
A: July 1, 2022.
Q: Are there any limits on the number of times this benefit can be used by a member?
A: There is only a limit on the financial lifetime benefit of $15,000 for all care or support provided through Carrot. There are no quantity limits.
